Initial Dialin’ Numbers

I promised…and here it is.

We’ve been dialing for four weeks now, with the limited time schedules of two busy “work-at-home” moms.

First 100 Names:

Dialed 726 numbers - Correct Name Match  100 - Sent to Briefing 3 - Confirmed to Call 2 - Closing Attempts 2 -

Closes 0

Second 100 Names:

Dialed 905 numbers - Correct Name Match 104 - Sent to Briefing 5 - Confirmed to Call 1 - Closing Attempts 1 - Closes 0

Here are the reasons for the “No Sales”:  One person was skeptical and did not believe that the value and benefit was strong enough to open her wallet.  One person hadn’t even listened to the complete 30 minute product briefing call. And the last person had already ordered a similar nutritional beverage product and was just waiting for the UPS man to bring it any day.  She was anxious to try the new product that she had ordered.  This woman had not even ordered her product herself.  It was a full year autoship “gift” that her son had purchased for her in order to build up her health.
And what does any of this mean? On the next post, I’ll interpret this data.

Dialin’ ‘N Smilin’!

Yep, I’m doing what I promote.

Now that my MLM marketing campaign is written.  I am testing the script to make sure that I have the right message for my target market.

I found a lead list (actually, it was purchased from a lead broker), of a target group of people who, I believe, fit the market I’m looking for.  The leads were 10 cents a name.  The file is a list of people who have purchased a health product of some type in the last 30 days.  They are over a certain age limit and have a certain level of income.

My product is a nutritional health beverage.  So it’s benefits apply to a variety of health concerns.  But my best bet is to find people who have already pulled the trigger once before by purchasing a product in the past that can improve their health.

My goal in the initial “testing” phase is to see if I can drive 5% of the people I speak with, to my informational call.  I’m keeping track of my statistics on a daily basis.  The testing numbers are looked at in groups of 100.  That means that I need to speak with 100 people whose name matches with the one on my list that I dialed.  I want to see 5 people out of every 100 attend my presentation call.

My business partner and I have been dialing for a couple of weeks now.  I’ll let you know how the results stack up, next week.

The Best Marketing Tool Is Often Overlooked…

In the last post, I wrote about the challenges that are inherent with the most commonly recognized marketing tools.  I promised you a solution to the dilemma of which marketing tool to use.

Brace yourself for the introduction of a tool that most marketers would consider to be unglamourous, boring, and frightening! …It’s the telephone.

I have found that I can put more people in front of a recorded (or live) phone message in less time and for less cost than any other marketing method.  A 30 minute pre-recorded phone presentation is an ideal way to put prospects in front of your information.  There is no limit to the number of people that can access this at any time.
Now, you do need to write and record a presentation.  But many times, your company will even have one that you can download or record and put at your own location.

If you put it on a simple-to-access telephone number, then your prospects can call in when you tell them. You will have a way to see who dialed in to your call, when they called, and how long they stayed.  With that information, you can then call them back, answer their questions, and close the transaction.

Of course, let them know ahead of time, when you give them the phone number, that you will be calling them back.  Better yet, you can commit them to call you back after they have heard the briefing.  Best of all, this method is FREE!   That’s right:  zero, zilch, nada!   Just go to www.simplevoicebox.com and sign up for your free service.

Multiple Marketing Mediums…

You are a marketer.  You need to put your prospect in front of information about your product or service.  There are a whole variety of ways to do that.  Ideally, one would want to implement more than one.  However, if you are just getting your business up and running.  You need to choose a method that can reach the most amount of targeted contacts for the least amount of money.

With that goal in mind, I will list some of the more obvious marketing mediums should NOT your first choice. They are radio, billboard, newspaper advertising, postal sales letters, CDs, landing pages, online video, public meetings, and sizzle calls, sales web-site.

Here are the challenges with these:

Radio,billboard, and newspaper advertising are costly and there is no way ensuring that only your target market receives the message.

Writing a sales letter takes some marketing skill with ad copy writing.  The words and benefits must be compelling enough to get the prospect to take immediate action.  In short, you’ve got to know what you are doing here.  The other drawback with written material is that you have no way of knowing if your prospect even reads the report. You can’t be in a position to get their immediate feedback.  Landing pages on a web-site only have a few seconds to capture the interest of your prospect.  If it doesn’t, they move on.  Usually, you don’t know who visits your website or when.

A CD must be delivered to a prospect in person or via postal service.  Again, unless you sit down and watch it with them, you have no way of knowing if they listened to it or when.  An online video has technological appeal.  But what happens if your propspect doesn’t have the ability to load it?  Or, more accurately, what if your prospect does not want to wait the maddening length of time necessary for online video or powerpoint presentations to load?  Public meetings are a huge imposition on someone’s time and it restricts you to a geographical area and also limits the number of people you can put in front of the information,depending on the location.  Sizzle calls are just that, a “sizzle.”  They don’t offer enough information for a prospect to make a decision.

There is a simple and sensible answer.  Watch for the next post!

It’s 2009, Time To Grow Your Business!

The holidays are over.  The decorations are in the box and my son is back in school today.  That means that I’m officially “back to work.”

I talked in previous posts about covering the marketing campaign that I’m putting into place on my primary MLM business.  Now that I’ve got both prospecting and closing scripts written, and a recorded product presentation call in place, and a buyer’s file of leads purchased, I’m ready to start testing my message.

I’ll be dialing this week.  Why?  Because it is the least expensive way to test my market with my message.

Sure, it sounds safer to just throw a web-site up and hope that people will enroll.  Here’s my question to you?  When was the last time you enrolled into a business or purchased a significant product for your family’s well-being on the first-time, chance discovery of a stranger’s web-site, with no previous knowledge of the product?

It won’t happen!   There is a definite strategy that needs to be in place before you can successfully market ANYTHING!

That’s why it’s important to understand the art and science of marketing.

Massive Passive Income!

Network marketing is one of the greatest and most lucrative passive income vehicles available for the lowest entry price.

Attitude of Gratitude…

You’ve heard it before.  It’s that time of year.  But it’s far more than that.  It’s just plain reality.  BEING GRATEFUL IS MANDATORY AND ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL TO YOUR SUCCESS.  In fact, it is a pre-requisite.

Gratitude is a fundamental part of the teachings of all the great spiritual masters and guides throughout history.

Thankfulness is a vibrant heartwarming energy that touches the hearts and spirits of men and angels who return that energy to you in natural and miraculous ways. The power in “thank you” materializes every good gift; it never goes unrewarded, NEVER.

Genuine thankfulness is an energy. There is actually a powerful energy generated by a person who feels grateful. It not only fills him with that positive energy, but it radiates from him. This energy is felt by other people and by benevolent spirit-beings who reward his gratitude (especially during trying experiences) with every blessing and benefit he is ready to receive.

It is impossible to bring more into your life if you are feeling ungrateful about what you have. Why? Because the thoughts and feelings you emit as you feel ungrateful are all negative emotions. Our emotions are really energy transmitters that return to us more of what we are projecting.

As you begin to think about all the things in your life you are grateful for, you will be amazed at the never-ending thoughts that come back to you of more things to be grateful for.  The law of attraction will receive those grateful thoughts and give you more just like them. You will have locked into the frequency of gratitude and all good things will be yours.

“He who receives all things with thankfulness will be made glorious and the things of this earth will be added unto him, even a hundred fold and more.”

“Two Economies…”

I learned a powerful concept at a seminar this past weekend.  Here it is:

Regardless of what the media is wanting us to believe, the current economy is full of opportunity for prosperity and growth.  It’s just a matter of us
realizing that there are two different economies.

The first economy is the general current economic situation of the society in which we live.  The second economy is our own personal economy.  Many, many people prosper exceedingly during general economic downturns.

What makes the difference is a person’s understanding of different
investment strategies and their mindset.

Stay open minded.  Network with other people.  You’d be surprised what
financial opportunites exist.  If you expect wealth and opportunity, the
Universe will respond just that way.

Here’s a little jingle that I made up that I like to sing to myself. It reminds me that my personal business economy is far different than the current general economy of the country.

“Grow, grow, in my economy,
Explode and grow, explode and grow.
Business booms
In my economy.
I am helping those in need.”

“Growing, growing all day long
Massively and passively.
Attracting money is my skill
In my economy.”

So, ignore those headlines.  It’s time for you to write your own success headlines. Elaborate on the “bull market report” for your own personal economy!

The #1 Most Important Factor That Will Influence Your MLM Business…

Are you passionate about the product? The answer to that question becomes the #1 factor that will influence your MLM business success either for the good or for the bad.

Are the results you receive from consuming the product so significant that you will continue to purchase the product years down the road?  If the answer is “NO”, then you are in the wrong business and with the wrong product.

In order to determine your level of passion for the product, it is imperative that you consume the product for a period of time to give you a personal experience of the product.  It is your story with the product that will position you as an expert on the product. Prospects will look to you for guidance as they seek for solutions to their problems.

If your only reason to market a particular product is for the potential of financial gain from the business opportunity, you will leave a wake of financial ruin behind.  You must believe in the value and benefit of your product in order to invest the necessary time and energy to see success.  So, purchase and consume the product for a few weeks to determine the benefits or the drawbacks.

That’s exactly the step that I am in right now with the MLM product that I plan on marketing.  I have been consuming this health and wellness nutritional beverage product since November 1, 2008. But I can still create a marketing campaign because I can utilize the experiences of others, and their expertise to build social proof.

Social proof is another word for testimonials.  Testimonials provide validation of the product’s benefits by your social peers.

I will continue to post once every 2 or 3 weeks about the next step I’m

implementing in my MLM campaign. I am following the same step-by-step simple system that I currently promote to my own MLM business-owner clients.

Putting the MLM “Pedal To The Metal…”

OK, I’ve published some powerful and little-known information here. It

should be obvious that I have access to a proven step-by-step system to grow

any MLM business venture.  Better yet, this system is effective in marketing

ANY product or service, be it, direct sales, retail, wholesale,

brick-and-mortar, or MLM. Solid marketing principles can be applied across

the board, with any medium.

I have spent almost 5 years, supporting others while they apply this system

to their MLM business, while at the same time, I am applying this system to

my retail business.  I am now choosing to apply this system  to an MLM
